Can I use Adobe Photoshop and Premiere to make videos?

I have both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. Is it possible to make a movie using both programs? (Photoshop to make the images and Premiere to paste them together) I hears about one guy who could use Photoshop to make movies, but I want to know if that’s possible.
EDIT: Now that I know it’s possible, can anyone give me a link to a decent tutorial for this?

Absolutely.

The cool part is, from Premier you can export your selected video clip to photoshop film strip, Open in photoshop and do editing using filters frame by frame and import in premier and make an effect of your desired clip. I think the process is called Rotoscoping.

Trying to learn Adobe Photoshop AND Adobe Premiere Pro basics, but I don’t know where to start?

I’m trying to learn Adobe Photoshop Cs4 AND Adobe Premiere Pro, which I know are 2 very very different programs.

Anyways, I’m trying to learn them on my own since I can’t afford to take classes. I know I can go to certain websites to learn these programs, but WHERE do I start. Like, what kinds of basics should I learn first?

Please help.

In Photoshop, the place to start is to learn all of the various ways to select things. Every single image that you edit will require that you make selections. Different methods of selecting each have their pros and cons. The more you know about this, the faster and more effectively you’ll be able to use the rest of the program. Here are the first things to learn in order.

• The Marquee tools
• The lasso tools
• The Magic Wand tools
• The Quick Mask Tool
• The Pen Tool (this one is tough so it takes time to learn)
• Select > Color Range
• Select > Save Selection
• Layer Masks

If you acquire a good understanding of these things, you’ll have a very good foundation in Photoshop.

How long will it take for me to learn Photoshop from scratch?

I want to learn Photoshop (CS3) from how to draw a line to make a virtual person. How long will it take, and yea can you give me the name of books and professional tutorial websites available online?

You will never learn ALL the tricks, but a basic knowledge can be had in about a day. Suggest a book or CD to get you started
