   Years ago I learned color management through trial and error and articles written by Andrew Rodney…in my opinion he is THE EXPERT! He is very clear and truthful. The stuff does make your head hurt but force yourself to read it and do stuff over and over again. Then I promise, it will sink in. Google- Andrew Rodney to find his digitaldog site!

   thanks for the tip Mama Shan. I started reading about sRGB whew, most sites are like reading chinese! I don’t do anything with Picasa but post pictures for other to see and download, but from the chatter it seems others are asking the same questions with the same frustrations. It seems the more I learn about this whole business the more I don’t know!! I am most concerned that what I see gets printed the way I see it… but it’ll be awhile before I figure it all out!

   I don’t use Picasa but if you are working in the Adobe RGB or ProPhoto workspace you will see more vivid color on your monitor. Check with Picasa to see if they recommend the sRGB workspace to be a closer target to their printer color settings.

    As always awesome!! But I have a question. Will this take care of the problem I have between what I see on my 24″high res Mac (perfect) and what gets printed or shipped out to photo storage sites (like Picasa) which end up loosing color and/or being slightly over-exposed?
